New breeders join Las Piñas stag derby
VETERAN and up-and-coming gamefowl breeders are seeing action in the 26th Anniversary 7-Stag Derby of Las Pinas Coliseum on Aug. 20 and 22.
Derby host Mayor Nene Aguilar expects tough fights in the two-day stagfest with the entry of 2013 “Bakbakan” champ Boy Gamilla of Malabon, Jong Valerio, Rolly Montales, Jun Alaminos, Arnold San Pablo, Paul and Egay Sayaman,Juan Jordana, Ted Macadagdag, Jeric group of Pangasinan,Jake Alero, Boy Amore, Gil Gonzales and Jonathan Lee.
Last year’s edition, which lured 85 entries, was won by Gov. Eddiebong Plaza (EP Roosterville entry).
The P1-million derby requires an entry fee of P16,500 and a minimum bet of P7,700.
