Real Madrid was off to a disappointing start to its Spanish La Liga campaign after being held to a scoreless draw by Sporting Gijon.

After the draw, Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo took to Instagram to snap back at critics.

“Your love makes me strong, your hate makes me unstoppable,” the 30-year-old FIFA Ballon d’Or winner.

Frustrations mounted for the star-studded Real Madrid as it failed to breakdown the newly promoted Sporting Gijon.

Madrid takes on Real Betis next week.
