UNTV Cup resumes Wednesday

SIX MORE teams debut Wednesday in the 4th UNTV Cup with Season 2 champion Armed Forces of the Philippines going up against Bureau of Fire Protection at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

Led by former pro Boyet Bautista and ex-national player Eugene Tan, the AFP Cavaliers are heavy favorites against the Firefighters in their 5:30 p.m. showdown.

Other teams seeing action in the second day of action are Philippine National Police, which faces Government Services Insurance System at 7 p.m. and Department of Justice, which tackles National Housing Authority at 3:30 p.m.

The winners will gain a share of the early lead with Metro Manila Development Authority, which pulled off a  shock 76-56 trampling of reigning titlist Judiciary in last week’s opener.
