Best Center 3×3 caging attracts 128 squads

A total of 128 teams consisting of 512 players are entered in the first BEST Center 3×3 tournament on Nov. 15 at Ateneo covered courts.

There will be two categories for players aged 15-under and 12-under in the tournament presented by the Basketball Efficiency Scientific Training (BEST) Center and Milo Ready-to-Drink.

It’s the first time the BEST Center, founded by Nic Jorge in 1978, is staging a 3×3 event at this level.

“We’ve been thinking about this for a long time as part of basketball’s development program but it’s only now that we found the sponsor,” said Jorge during Tuesday’s PSA Forum at Shakey’s Malate.

Teams from Metro Manila, Baguio, Pangasinan, Pampanga and Lucena are among the teams that will see action. Jorge said the event is not limited to school teams.
