Philippine Amateur Track and Field Association (Patafa) president Philip Ella Juico has been appointed chair of the School and Youth Commission of the Asian Athletics Association (AAA).

This was confirmed during the 83rd AAA council meeting held recently at Solaire Resort and Casino where 20 athletics heads representing 20 countries and territories across Asia attended.

The hosting marked the return of the Philippines in the Asian athletics stage since Jose Sering  led the formation of the Asian Amateur Athletic Association in 1973.
