PBA: Talk N’ Text routs winless Meralco

Talk N’ Text showed no mercy in its 105-91 whipping of sister team Meralco Wednesday in the 2016 Smart Bro PBA Philippine Cup at Philsports Arena.
The Tropang Texters unfurled a 20-3 run for a 33-17 lead at the end of the first quarter and never looked back. They led by as much as 27, 57-25 in the second period.
Matt Ganuelas-Rosser ignited the rout, pouring 10 of his game-high 19 points in the first quarter to go with six rebounds.
Coach Jong Uichico also gave huge minutes to his top rookie picks as Mo Tautuaa finished with 18 markers and 10 boards while Troy Rosario got 14 points.
Jayson Castro added 15 points, four rebounds, and three assists for TNT.
“There will always be some things to correct, but generally, in our last two games, maganda yung nilaro namin,” said coach Jong Uichico. “Hopefully, we improve as the days go on.”
Rabeh Al-Hussaini paced Meralco in its third loss in as many games with 16 points and five boards while Gary David, Cliff Hodge, and Chris Newsome all had 13 markers apiece.
