Parry out, Cheng in as Vera’s foe in ONE FC Heavyweight title fight

Paul Cheng has replaced Chi Lewis-Parry as Brandon Vera’s opponent in the ONE Championship Heavyweight title fight in Manila, CEO Victor Cui announced late Wednesday.
In a statement posted on his official Facebook account, Cui said that Parry “failed to submit his medical results and his drug tests for the fight” despite multiple requests.
Parry had also reportedly “decided not to board the plane departing from London to Manila.”

Meanwhile, Parry blasted ONE Championship in a Facebook post, saying the organization has robbed him of a title shot.
“As I forewarned, One Championship have ripped my shot from my grasp. They pretended Paul Cheng was travelling to Manila JUST for media obligations and lied to EVERY SINGLE FAN!”
ONE Championship hasn’t released any other statement regarding Parry’s tirade.
Vera will be fighting China-native Cheng for the ONE Championship’s inaugural heavyweight belt on Friday at Mall of Asia Arena.
