La Salle, Ateneo complete ICTSI-JGFP q’fiers
LA SALLE and Ateneo teams completed the cast of qualifiers after topping the Seniors and Girls’ 1 divisions at the close of the JGFP-ICTSI Inter-School golf tournament recently.
La Salle’s Miggy Yee, Inigo Raymundo, AR Ramos, Ton Ton Arevalo and Mike Uy compiled 442 for a 28-point win over the fancied Lyceum squad.
Lyceum, behind Rupert Zaragosa, Jelbert Gamolo Dan Cruz, JP De Claro and Luigi Guerrero, scored 414.
In Girls’ 1, Ateneo’s Nikki Bruce, Yeun Jae Baek and Charlene Abalos finished with 266 to beat La Salle’s Kelly Chua, Sandra Nocum, Luli Cuenca.
De La Salle Zobel’s Nicole Abelar, Pauline Del Rosario, Mikhaela Fortuna and Bernice Ilas ruled Girls 2’ with 389 while Immaculate Conception Academy’s Riane Lee and Justine Teh topped Girls’ 3.
DLSZ 2 placed second and Assumption third in Girls’ 2 while another DLSZ team took runner-up honors in Girls’ 3.
Individual winners of the tourney also backed by Philippine Golf Foundation, Philippine Airlines and Inquirer Golf were Zaragosa (Seniors), Bruce sisters Nikki (Girls’ 1) and Sam (Girls’ 2) and and Burberry Zhang of OB Montessori Las Piñas in Girls’ 3.
