Cavaliers, B’wolves eye semis

ARMED Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) try to secure the first two outright semifinal berths when they clash with separate rivals tomorrow in the 4th UNTV Cup at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

Already assured of a playoff berth, the Cavaliers clash with the National Housing Authority (NHA) Builders at 3:30 p.m. while the Blackwolves collide with the Senate Defenders at 5 p.m.


Out to lead the Cavaliers are Eugene Tan, Boyet Bautista and Winston Sergio, the trio who keyed the team’s 106-98 win over the Defenders last month.

Backstopped by former La Salle star Johnedel Cardel, the Blackwolves tote a 6-2 record thanks to a 67-64 win over the Philippine National Police the last time.
