PNP, NHA fives seek UNTV Final 4

Philippine National Police (PNP) and National Housing Authority (NHA) gun for the two remaining semifinal berths Sunday when they go up against separate rivals in the 4th UNTV Cup at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

The PNP Responders clash with the reigning titlist Judiciary at 3 p.m. with the former needing only to win once to
advance to the next round of the annual tournament.

Like PNP, the NHA Builders can also march into the semifinals if they beat the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Firefighters in their 4:30 p.m. clash.

Both PNP and NHA gained twice-to-beat bonuses after finishing third and fourth, respectively, at the end of the two-round eliminations of the tournament organized by UNTV CEO and president Daniel Razon.

The winners will join top seed Armed Forces of the Philippines and No. 2 Metro Manila Development Authority in the semifinals.

PNP dropped its last elimination assignment to AFP, 76-71.
The Builders, meanwhile, beat the Firefighters the last time they clashed, 81-74.
