Double celebration for Ateneo’s birthday girl Madayag

Ateneo sophomore Maddie Madayag had quite a day.

Not only did she help the Lady Eagles dispatch University of Santo Tomas in four sets, the bubbly Davao native also celebrated her 18th birthday in the middle of the Atenean jubilation.

“Happy because we’re doing our job on the court. I’m really happy that we won,” Madayag said.

Madayag said this particular birthday will be memorable to her along with last year’s celebration.

“This is one of the top three birthdays,” she said. “The top one would be my 17th birthday where my grandparents, uncle and mom went.”
