Pacquiao leaves for last training phase in LA

Manny Pacquiao left for Los Angeles Saturday night to continue preparations for his third showdown with Tim Bradley on April 9 at MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Not wanting to waste time, Pacquiao still sparred for 10 rounds and went through the gamut of exercises at Pacman’s Wild Card Gym in General Santos City Saturday before boarding Chavit Singson’s private plane for Manila.

Head mentor Freddie Roach, assistant trainers Buboy Fernandez, Nonoy Neri and Haplas Fernandez, as well as sparring partners Ghislain Maduma and Lydell Rhodes were also with the group.

Pacquiao will take a break on Sunday before resuming his training at Roach’s Wild Card Gym in Hollywood on Monday.

Roach is expected to field in new sparmates for Pacquiao as they intensify their training for what’s supposed to be the Sarangani representative’s last fight. Roy Luarca
