Is Uriah Hall really similar to Anderson Silva?

We’ll find out soon enough, as the two lanky dynamic middleweights will finally share the octagon at UFC 198, inside a soccer stadium in Curitiba, Brazil.

Mixed martial arts website MMAFighting.com revealed Silva’s persistence to be included in the card, just a month after his controversial defeat in the hands of Brit Michael “The Count” Bisping.

“I hope I can fight in Brazil. If everything goes my way and it will, if everyone thinks I should fight in Brazil, I will,” said the longest reigning champion in UFC history.

The 40-year-old native of Curitiba (3371 NC) is still considered by many as one of the greatest fighters to ever grace the octagon, despite coming off a one-year suspension for steroid usage.

Meanwhile, his opponent Uriah “Primetime” Hall (126) has had a whirlwind career so far, after placing second in The Ultimate Fighter: Team Jones vs Team Sonnen.

The Jamaican born striker turned heads last year after knocking out respected veteran Gegard Mousasi with a spinning kick followed by a flying knee, which earned him Performance of the Night award.

Hall, much like Silva, is also coming off a unanimous decision defeat in his last outing against Robert Whittaker.

The stacked card will be headlined by a World Heavyweight title match between champion Fabricio Werdum, against Croatian challenger Stipe Miocic.

Other scheduled bouts include Vitor Belfort squaring off against Ronaldo Souza, Shogun Rua versus Corey Anderson and Demian Maia against Matt Brown.

UFC 198 will take place on May 14 (May 15, Manila time).
