Galanza lifts Laoag over Iriga in V-League

Laoag got its act together late to score a 25-10, 25-23, 20-25, 25-15 victory over Iriga Monday in the Shakey’s V-League Season 13 Open Conference at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
Jessica Galanza carried the Power Smashers with 16 points, 14 coming off of hits, while Mylene Paat added 14 markers.
“Marami pa kaming kailangan ayusin,” said Laoag coach Nes Pamillar. “Kulang pa kami sa communication saka iba talaga yung nilalaro ng mga bata tuwing ensayo saka game mismo. Kailangan madala namin yung maganda naming ensayo sa game mismo.”
Laoag failed to finish the job done in the third set, losing some steam before rebounding big in the fourth set clincher.
The Power Smashers also rebounded from a four-set defeat to NU back in opening day.
Grazielle Bombita paced the Lady Oragons with 16 points, while Shola Alvarez had 13 markers in the defeat.
