Aguilar eyes strong finish in Diamond Motocross Series

Glenn Aguilar eyes to finish what he started as the final round of the 2016 Diamond Motor MX Series rolls on June 25 at MX Messiah Fairgrounds, Club Manila East in Taytay, Rizal.

“I am happy seeing the sport grow. I have nothing to prove, but I just really love the sport and that’s why I’m here to be the best for the new generation to chase,” said the 16-time Philippine MotoX Rider of the Year on Tuesday’s PSA Forum at Shakey’s Malate.

Aguilar has been the series’ pacesetter in the first four legs of the Pro Open Production and hopes to get the job done this Saturday.

But it won’t be easy, as Enzo Rellosa and JC Rellosa continues to chase him in the leaderboards up until the end.

Meanwhile, Glenn’s son, Mclean Aguilar, will also be hoping to make a name of his own as he currently sits at third in the Pro Lites Production, trailing leaders Jepoy Rellosa and Ralph Ramento.

Janelle Saulog and Pia Gabriel are also on a neck-and-neck race for the crown in the ladies’ division.
Jolet Jao and Roman Llorente are also in a tight race in the executive division, while Ompong Gabriel and Wenson Reyes are the favorites in the kids level.

Cash prizes worth P20,000 is allotted for the first placer in every race, P15,000 for the second, and P10,000 for the third. There will also be a bonus prize for the overall champion of the series.

Aside from the race, the event will also feature a concert headlined by Silent Sanctuary, and rockbands Slapshock, Wilabaliw, and Greyhoundz.
