Davis Cup drawing of lots today at PCA
WHOEVER will play in the pressure-packed opening singles for the Cebuana Lhuillier-Philippine Davis Cup team against Chinese Taipei will be known Thursday in the draw ceremony set for 10 a.m. at Philippine Columbian Association.
For the hosts it could either be Ruben Gonzales or Jeson Patrombon, who have played singles matches in previous ties.
Non-playing team captain Karl Santamaria said he’s open to mixing it up but added that: “we will do whatever we feel that gives us the best chance to win.”
Top player Treat Huey promised to put on a “very, very good show and high level of tennis” this weekend.
