D-League: Racal eyes repeat over Blustar five
BELIEVING it has a strong shot at the top two, Racal doesn’t want to be careless against also-ran Blustar Detergent in the D-League Foundation Cup tonight.
“We can’t let others control our destiny, so we just have to win as much games as we can,” said Racal coach Caloy Garcia.
The Tile Masters go for a seventh win against the Dragons at 6 p.m. at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
Another victory for the surging Tile Masters will keep them in the leader mix with Phoenix (7-1) and Cafe France (6-1), the champions in the last two conferences.
Only the top two teams at the end of the eliminations will earn a twice-to-beat advantage in the semifinals.
Tanduay Rhum, meanwhile, hopes to stay inside the top four when it battles Topstar ZC Mindanao at 4 p.m.
The Rhum Masters, toting a 5-3 card, aim to bounce back from Phoenix’s 108-95 drubbing as the Aguilas look to crash the win column.
