And it was F2 Logistics’ newly discovered weapon of spunk and speed that prevailed over RC Cola-Army’s deliberate, slow-burn game for a thrilling 25-22, 25-14, 21-25, 26-28, 15-10, in the Philippine Superliga All-Filipino Conference.
The roaring full-capacity crowd at FilOil Flying V Center in San Juan City and the stirring buzz it created on social media practically established them to be the league’s marquee rivalry.
No crown was at stake but F2 Logistics and RC Cola-Army played like everything was on the line.
With rookies Kim Fajardo and Ara Galang providing the ballast, F2 Logistics endured the RC Cola-Army’s mighty comeback from two sets down by closing ranks in the fifth set.
“The girls deserve that 7-0 record,” said F2 Logistics coach Ramil de Jesus of his charges, who swept the first round of eliminations.
