It’s been a good three seasons since Michael Carter-Williams won his Rookie of the Year award in 2014, and unfortunately for the Syracuse product hasn’t been unable to match the numbers he posted in his first go-around in the NBA.

That, however, doesn’t bother the now Milwaukee Buck.

When asked if he feels any pressure in following up his stellar Rookie of the Year season with Philadelphia, a year he posted 16-5-5, he gave a brief response.

“No,” said Carter-Williams Thursday at Conrad Hotel for the media availability for the NBA 3X Philippines. “I think I have a whole bunch of different teammates that can really score the ball.”

Carter-Williams was the fifth-highest scorer for the Bucks averaging 11.5 points across 54 games during the 2015-2016 season behind Jabari Parker, Greg Monroe, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and the team’s best scorer Khris Middleton.

What Carter-Williams is focused on for the next season is getting out the Bucks out of the Eastern Conference’s lower seeds and get to the playoffs.

“I think in this year, I’m just focused on winning, I’m not focused on how am I going to match my rookie year, I’m just trying to win.”
