After playing catch up for most of the game, Globalport found an opening down the stretch and stunned Rain or Shine, 101-99, Saturday in the PBA Governors’ Cup at the Ibalong Centrum in Legazpi, Albay.

Globalport came away with their third straight win—a first in an out-of-town game since joining the league in 2012 according to PBA head statistician Fidel Mangonon—and tied the Elastopainters at 3-4.

The Elastopainters, who are still trying to find consistency with the eliminations winding down, had a chance to take the lead or tie the game but couldn’t convert in their final 2 possessions in the dying seconds.

Rain or Shine couldn’t get the momentum to pull away from Globalport through out the game en route to its second straight defeat.

Dior Lowhorn finished with 21 points and eight rebounds in the defeat while Beau Belga added 17 points on a perfect 6-of-6 shooting clip in 21 minutes of action. Celest Flores-Colina
