Foton Pilipinas finishes 6th in Thailand stint

Pitted against a solid club team opponent, Foton Pilipinas yielded a 19-25, 25-19, 26-24, 25-14 decision to 3BB Nakhonnont to wind up at six place Sunday in the 2016 Sealect Tuna Thailand Volleyball League.

The Tornadoes, sharpening their skills for the Asian Volleyball Confederation Women’s Club Championships this weekend here, failed to sustain their first set intensity at Wi Sommai gymnasium in Sisaket Province.

They eventually bowed down to the gritty club where its import Lindsay Stalzer once belonged.

Foton’s Italian coach Fabio Menta refused to comment regarding the loss and reportedly gave the team a dressing down after the match./rga
