Ben Mbala scattered 13 points, 23 rebounds and four blocks on Wednesday in his UAAP debut—career numbers for most but subpar for the Cameroonian big man’s standards.

“I think I still have a lot of adjustments to do. It’s pretty hard, but I just have to come back to playing my game,” Mbala told reporters after helping La Salle survive Far Eastern University, 83-78.

“This is really telling me a lot about the double team and triple team. So I need to learn how to make good decisions, when to score, when to look for open teammates.”

Mbala rued poor decision making that resulted to six turnovers and his woeful 5-of-13 shooting from the field.
