Teng, Ayo to miss first Ateneo-La Salle of UAAP Season 79

There will be a couple of key personalities missing from the green side in the first Ateneo-La Salle game in the UAAP Season 79 men’s basketball tournament.

Green Archers head coach Aldin Ayo and team captain Jeron Teng will be out of Sunday’s game against archrivals Blue Eagles.

In a statement published online, the Green Archers’ representative to the UAAP board Edwin Reyes said Ayo will be serving his suspension after losing his temper during La Salle’s 84-78 win over University of the East.

Ayo confronted an official and tried to put glasses on the referee in the second quarter, causing his ejection.

Teng, meanwhile, is recovering from a procedure done to fix his bone spurs in his left heel.
