Tough grind ahead for La Salle as UAAP 2nd round starts Saturday
Can La Salle complete a sweep?
The Green Archers are set for a tough grind to start the second round of the UAAP Season 79 men’s basketball wars.
La Salle first takes on vengeful Adamson on Sunday, October 8, an upset-seeking University of the Philippines on October 15, and National University on October 19.
The Green Archers then cross paths anew with rival Ateneo on November 5 at Smart Araneta Coliseum, before wrapping up their schedule against defending champion Far Eastern University on November 12 at Mall of Asia Arena.
The league released the second round schedule on Friday.
Other marquee matchups in the second round include the battle of Katipunan between Ateneo and UP on Saturday, October 8, the Bulldogs and the Tamaraws facing off the day after on October 9, the Pumaren brothers’ rematch with University of the East taking on Adamson on October 22, and the duel between the Bulldogs and the Falcons to end the eliminations on November 13.
The UAAP will also hold three of its playdates at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan, with separate tickets being sold for the games on October 16, 19, and November 6.
