Philippine team member Kevin Cu stamped his class against some of the country’s veteran and rising stars of tenpin bowling to rule the Masters division of the 20th Sta. Lucia East Tenpin Bowling Association (Sletba) Open Championships in Cainta, Rizal, on Sunday.

Cu, who represented PBAP in the annual event, finished with a 2637 score in 12 games to clinch a runaway win against Mar Serac of TBAM-Prima (2458) and another member of the national team, Benshir Layoso of MTBA-Gruppo (2448).

Except for three games in the series, Cu burned the lanes with 200 plus games and was clearly the winner with at least three more games to go. He dominated the field that included four-time World Cup champion Paeng Nepomuceno, national team members Kenneth Chua, Krizziah Tabora, and Nicco Olaivar, and youth standouts Art Barrientos, Kenzo Umali and Anton Marquez.
