San Miguel Beer picked former La Salle center Arnold Van Opstal in the special Gilas Cadet pool Draft on Thursday afternoon.

The Beermen took the only available center in the cadet pool, potentially penciling Van Opstal as a backup to reigning three-time MVP June Mar Fajardo.

The Inquirer earlier identified three players that found mother teams in the PBA via the special draft.
