ABL: Jose, Inigo to suit up for Kaohsiung Truth
Winless through three games, Kaohsiung Truth will infuse some much needed depth to their roster with the acquisition of Far Eastern University duo Raymar Jose and Achie Iñigo.
The former Tamaraws were signed up to a one-game contract by the Taiwanese ballclub and will make their ASEAN Basketball League debut on Sunday against Alab Pilipinas at Olivarez College in Paranaque.
Both Jose and Iñigo see this stint as a huge boost for their personal growth.
“For me, it can help me improve my game. I’n excited because this is going to be a different stage for me,”
said Jose, a member of the Mythical Team last UAAP Season 79.
Iñigo added, “Maybe we can help when it comes to chemistry because the team, it still hasn’t jelled enough. We just grabbed the opportunity and cherish the chance. We’ll just work hard here.”
Kaohsiung recently signed up University of the Philippines guard Mikee Reyes to a one-game contract where he saw action in the squad’s 91-82 loss to Alab last December 4.
Reyes finished with 14 points on a 6-of-15 shooting clip, two rebounds, and two assists in his lone game with the Truth.
