Off-court goals may push Mika out of F2 Logistics

This early, Mika Reyes is at the crossroads of her career.
The comely and popular
5-foot-10 middle blocker said she wants to explore possibilities in volleyball while at the same time dip her toes outside the playing court.
“As of now I want to consider all opportunities,” said Reyes. “I don’t want to completely stop volleyball. But there are other things I may consider outside volleyball.”
She hinted at dabbling in show business if she finds a club willing to give her leeway to do so.
Her manager, Charlie Dy of Virtual Playground, said there are a few teams interested in getting the 22-year-old Reyes outside F2 Logistics.
“So far we’re carefully weighing our options. We can’t say that she’ll remain with F2 Logistics because a lot of teams are talking to her already,” said Dy. “And we welcome it. We want to put her in a place where she can maximize her talent and reach her potential.”
Reyes had a banner year that included a UAAP championship with La Salle, Philippine Superliga All Filipino Conference title with F2 Logistics and a stint with the national team in the FIVB Women’s Club Championships.
She was also hailed as PSL ambassador whose task is to preserve and embody the club league’s brand.
At any rate, Dy said Reyes will still play in the PSL and remains open for stints with the national team.
The PSL officially starts its season with the All Filipino next June.
