As confirmed by ESPN, the former World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE)  broadcast alumnus will make his debut at FOX Sports 1’s UFC Fight Night 103: “Rodriguez vs. Penn,” on Jan. 15 at the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona, USA.

After his 7-year stint calling professional wrestling, the 40-year-old on-air personality served as an anchor for ESPN’s “SportsCenter” and host for “MMA Live.”

However, it was his work as an announcer for Glory Kickboxing that landed him the job, the report said.

Grisham, meanwhile, took to Twitter to confirm the news and express his excitement in what his MMA future would hold.

The company has yet to comment on the upcoming broadcast changes, but Grisham’s signing looks to be part of UFC president Dana White’s prerogative of assembling a ‘dream team of commentating’.

The report also clarified that Grisham was not brought in as Goldberg’s replacement.

A separate report also indicated that Grisham’s UFC contract will be a short-term ‘trial run’ spanning four FS1 events. Khristian Ibarrola
