Lady Eagles, Lady Spikers battle winless squads

Defending champion La Salle and Ateneo seek to stay within striking distance of leader University of the Philippines when they clash with separate rivals today in the UAAP Season 79 women’s volleyball tournament at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Back on the winning track after subduing National U,

29-27, 25-16, 25-21, last Sunday, the Lady Spikers are favored to pick up their fourth victory in five games against the Lady Falcons at 4 p.m.

The Lady Eagles are also gunning for a fourth win against the University of the East Lady Warriors in the

2 p.m. tussle.

Like La Salle, Ateneo is also favored to notch a victory against UE. Both Adamson and UE are in the bottom of the standings with identical 0-4 records. —CEDELF P. TUPAS
