Tabuena out to conquer Luisita course anew

Miguel Tabuena, the 22-year-old who has the most success at Luisita the last two years, will spearhead the local challenge when the Philippine Golf Tour makes a stop at the gorgeous tree-lined layout in Tarlac this Wednesday.

Winning the first two Luisita tournaments, including the PH Open in December 2015, since the exclusive layout started hosting pro events, Tabuena certainly knows how to play the Robert Trent Jones-created gem up North.

The Rio de Janeiro Olympian would also come into the event in sharp form after tying for fifth spot last week at the Yeangder Heritage of the Asian Tour in Taiwan.

The Philippines will be well represented in the 72-hole, $60,000-championship with Antonio Lascuña, the champion of the Manila Masters at Eastridge last month, and the revered Frankie Miñoza also making an appearance.
