Retired Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant might have sired three daughters, but it doesn’t mean that they didn’t inherit his incredible basketball genes.
To celebrate his middle child’s birthday, the proud father recently shared a video of 11-year-old Gianna on his personal Instagram account.
“Happy Birthday to this lil lady. My Gigi!!,” the five-time NBA champion captioned his post, along with the hashtags #lilmamba #tesoro (means treasure in Italian) and #11.
But instead of the usual blowing of birthday candles, the young lady is seen working on her father’s patented and deadly turnaround jumper.
Clad with white headphones on her ears, Gianna showcased “Mamba mentality” as she casually replicated one of his father’s signature moves, inside what appeared to be Bryant’s personal weight room.
Furthermore, her made basket did not appear to be a fluke, as she displayed a picturesque shooting form accompanied by a slick follow through. As of this writing, the clip has racked up over a million views.
Gianna’s iconic father, meanwhile, walked away from basketball last year, after spending 20 seasons in a “Purple and Gold” jersey.
Kobe also has a 14-year old daughter named Natalia, and a 4-month old baby named Bianka. JB
