/ 12:02 AM May 15, 2017

Creamline bounced back from a two-game losing spell to beat lowly Air Force, 25-21, 28-26, 23-25, 12-25, 15-12, in the Premier Volleyball League at Filoil Flying V Centre late Saturday.

The Cool Smashers hiked their record to 2-3 but remained fifth in the six-team field being paced by the Pocari Sweat Lady Warriors.
The Jet Spikers absorbed their fourth loss in five games.

Alyssa Valdez took charge anew for Creamline, finishing with another 25-hit output.

Meanwhile, Foton Tornadoes owner Rommel Sytin issued an appeal to the PVL and Philippine Superliga to settle their differences.

Sytin said the feud between the rival groups has become toxic for the sport.

“There’s too much politics and dirty tactics involved,” said Sytin, the first team owner to speak up regarding the issue.

Foton is back-to-back PSL Grand Prix champion and represented the country in last year’s Asian Women’s Club Championships in Manila.

Foton’s top players, including Jaja Santiago, struggled with the conflicting schedules of the PSL and the PVL’s predecessor, Shakey’s V League.

“I hope these two leagues come into terms and save this sport,” added Sytin.

PVL stars like Valdez and Myla Pablo pulled out from the “Clash of Heroes” slated tomorrow at Filoil Flying V Centre, citing tight tournament schedule.
