PSC challenges LGUS: produce champions
The Philippine Sports Commission is encouraging every city and municipality in the country to produce a sports hero.
PSC commissioner Celia Kiram has been posing this challenge to all local government units on every stop of the nationwide Philippine Sports Institute-Smart ID Train The Trainers program.
“The challenge is to find hidden gems and develop them into world-class athletes,” said Kiram during the third leg of the PSC-funded project Monday in Vigan City.
The PSI is headed by training director Marc Edward Velasco and deputy Henry Daut.
