Foton tries to keep record spotless

With the No. 1 spot in the quarterfinals in mind, Foton battles Petron in the Philippine Superliga All-Filipino Conference Saturday at Batangas City Coliseum.

Unbeaten in five games, the Tornadoes test their mettle against the Blaze Spikers at 7 p.m. in an attempt to sweep the preliminaries.

F2 Logistics, meanwhile, clashes with Sta. Lucia Realty in the first game at 5 p.m.

“In my opinion, we have to double our effort and correct our mistakes,” said the Serbian mentor. “Things are now getting tough. Everybody is playing hard.”

Petron is coming from a defeat at the hands of Cignal, while Foton is riding the crest of its come-from-behind win over Generika-Ayala, which went two sets up only to fold.

“They are coming off a loss,” said Branislav. “We have to be prepared because they will surely go for this important victory.”

The Cargo Movers are on a three-game winning streak but will have to deal with the determined Lady Realtors, who are on a two-game roll.
