The NBA off-season continues to be a busy one, as marquee players continue to be shipped left and right around the association since the past recent weeks.

Although Phil Jackson no longer runs the show in New York, disgruntled Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony continues to be the subject of trade rumors—despite having an exclusive no-trade clause in his contract.

However, the former Syracuse product is reportedly open to waiving his special case, if the right deal comes along.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Melo “is open to waiving his no-trade clause to join the Houston Rockets or Cleveland Cavaliers should those teams create a pathway to a deal.”

The veteran sports columnist, who’s been breaking the news of deals as they happen, added that the team is expecting to receive multiple assets for the 10-time All Star.

“After Jackson’s firing last week, the Knicks have maintained a stance of wanting significant assets back for Anthony in a trade, and have resisted the idea of a contract buyout,” he wrote.

With Chris Paul’s shocking arrival in Houston to pair up with James Harden, the Rockets have catapulted into title contention and could form their own version of a “big three” if they somehow manage to land Anthony.

The allure of playing for the Cavaliers, meanwhile, remains to be present as long LeBron James is in the fray.  Khristian Ibarrola /ra
