/ 05:10 AM August 05, 2017

Lyceum could still do no wrong as the Pirates downed Perpetual Help, 76-58, to stretch their perfect run to six games in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament Friday at Filoil Flying V Centre.

CJ Perez pumped in 19 points while skipper MJ Ayaay had 12 points and nine rebounds to lead the Pirates.

“We just kept playing with the same aggressiveness that we’re showing,” Perez said in Filipino of the Pirates, who staged a 16-0 run in the third quarter.

Defending champion San Beda stayed within striking distance of Lyceum after tripping Jose Rizal University, 54-48, in the other game.

Clint Doliguez, a transferee from Ateneo, dropped a career-high 22 points to power the Lions to their fifth victory in six outings.

San Sebastian also picked up a second win with Allyn Bulanadi firing 18 points for a 75-66 triumph over Mapua.
