Shaira Rivera shocked top seed Clarice Patrimonio, 6-1, 6-0, to barge into the semifinal round of the Olivarez Cup Open Tennis Championship in Parañaque on Monday.

The fifth-ranked Rivera from Compostela Valley will next face third seed Jade Capadocia.

Second seed and three-time defending champion Khim Iglupas and Davao’s Patricia Velez collide in the other pairing.
