Bayron overtakes Lascuña

Tagaytay—Rufino Bayron closed out with a bogey but still seized the lead as Tony Lascuña did worse with a bogey-bogey finish halfway through the ICTSI Splendido Classic here.

Bayron shot a four-under 68 while first round leader Lascuña tumbled with a 73 on Friday at the wind-swept layout.

Counting his opening 69, Bayron pooled a 137, one up on Lascuña, whose 65 paced the 99-man starting field Wednesday.
