Sports prodigy and Skechers performance ambassador, Lauren Lim is set to conquer the Chicago Marathon

Philippine Triathlon’s newest wonder kid, Lauren Lim, is set to conquer the Bank of America Chicago Marathon on October 8, 2017. With her passion for sports and fitness, Lim is the perfect embodiment of the Go Like Never Before movement.
Geared with Skechers Performance GOrun Ride 6, Lauren Lim is set to reach beyond her limits in the prestigious Chicago marathon. The sixth generation of Skechers GOrun Ride™ has lightweight and enhancede 5GEN® cushioning for additional impact protection and response. The shoe also comes with the Skechers GO knit fabric upper with 3D printed overlays. It provides a stable and secure fit with it’s molded heel counter and inner support strap, while the mid-foot strike zone promotes a fluid transition and efficiency in each stride.
Lauren Lim stepped into the podium at last June’s Regent 5i50 Triathlon, placing third in her age group (20-24), finishing the 1.5KM swim, 40KM bike, 10KM run. For the TRI United 2017 Exceed Long Distance held last July in Subic, she finished 2nd placed together with the Sante Barley TriTeam, completing a 2KM swim, 60KM bike, 15KM run. Last August, Lim finished second in her category at the Cobra Ironman 70.3 with an impressive overall finish time 06:05:23 covering a total distance of 113KM with a 1.9KM swim, 90KM bike ride, and a 21.1KM run.
Being a woman in a male dominated sport has taught her to be stronger and more independent. She’s happy seeing other runners excel and succeed, and wants to inspire more people to get into an active and healthy lifestyle. “I’ve found my passion. Winning is just a bonus.” she says.
It’s hard to imagine that one of today’s up-and-coming sporting superstars only started running two years ago, by chance. Now, Skechers Performance ambassador, Lauren Lim, is gearing up for the Bank of America Chicago Marathon, competing against elite athletes and everyday runners from all 50 American states and more than 100 countries, setting out to accomplish a personal dream by reaching the finish line in Grant Park.
