Realtors climb out of deep hole

/ 05:00 AM November 29, 2017

With a pair of imports clawing till the end, Sta. Lucia Realty yanked a victory out of Cocolife’s grip Tuesday night.

Bogdana Anisova and Marisa Field combined for 55 points to power the Lady Realtors’ climb from two sets down to a 23-25, 22-25, 25-12, 25-23, 15-7 win in the Chooks to Go-Philippine Superliga Grand Prix at Filoil Flying V Centre.

Anisova accounted for 35 points, most of them in the third set when the Lady Realtors jolted back to life after yielding the
first two frames.

When the Asset Managers were trying to come back in the fifth, Anisova hammered five while Field dropped four of the Lady Realtors’ final nine points to preserve just their second victory in seven matches.

Field, who missed two matches due to injury, banged in 20 points, while Fil-American hitter Mar-Jana Phillips chipped in 11 as team captain and setter Djanel Cheng opened up the scoring lanes for the Lady Realtors with 30 excellent sets.

The Lady Realtors tied the Iriga City Oragons who, like them, are trying to avoid getting pitted against the top team.

Hawaiian spiker Shar Manu-Olevao unloaded 29 points for Cocolife.
