Flawless Arellano defends crown

Arellano University came through with a near-perfect performance as it edged University of Perpetual Help-System Dalta to defend its title in the 93rd NCAA cheerdance competition at Smart Araneta Coliseum Friday.

Arellano garnered an aggregate score of 234.5 points to bag its second straight crown and third title overall.

The Perpsquad likewise wowed the crowd but wasn’t able to complete their pyramid, costing it the championship after settling for 226 points.

“This is the product of the team’s hard work and we dedicate the victory to the whole Arellano U community,” said AU coach Lucky San Juan.
