BanKo-Perlas captures PVL bronze medal

BanKo-Perlas captured the bronze medal after a win over Pocari Air Force and the championship-clincher from Creamline in the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference on Wednesday at Mall of Asia Arena.

The Perlas Spikers outlasted the Lady Warriors,  23-25, 25-10, 25-14, 25-17, to tie the third-place series at 1-1, but didn’t need to play in the rubber match after Creamline completed a sweep of PayMaya in the later game.


Pocari Sweat needed five sets to beat BanKo-Perlas last Sunday, 25-22, 17-25, 16-25, 26-24, 15-11.

Perlas Spikers used an 8-0 run midway through the fourth set to pull away for good from the erstwhile champions Lady Warriors.

Foreign players Lakia Bright and Jutarat Montripila led BanKo with 27 and 19 points, respectively.
