Super 8: Seoul trumps Guangzhou, eliminates Blackwater in process
MACAU—Seoul reserved its slot in the semifinals after taming Guangzhou, 78-73, in the final game of Group B of the Asia League Super 8 Thursday at Macau East Asian Games Dome.
The Samsung Thunders’ victory put them at a triple tie with the Long Lions and Blackwater with 2-1 records, but the PBA representatives were the victims of number crunching.

The Elite had the lowest quotient among the three teams, allowing the Long Lions and the Samsung Tigers to advance to the next round.
Lee Gwan Hee led all scorers with 27 points with 10 rebounds for Seoul while Kim Dong Uk added 21 points.
Ju Mingxin had 18 points to lead Guangzhou while Shirelijian Muxtar and Wang Yue had 16 and 11 points, respectively.
