Pacquiao on fight deals: Nobody authorized to speak on my behalf
Manny Pacquiao’s phone will be buzzing more than usual.
Now a promoter, Pacquiao reminded those who want a crack at his legendary stature and welterweight title will have to give him a call and no one else.
“I, through MP Promotions, will be handling any and all negotiations for my next fight. Nobody is authorized to speak on my behalf. You know my number, call me,” Pacquiao wrote on his Instagram account Saturday.
Pacquiao is coming off a triumphant ring return, outclassing Lucas Matthysse via technical knockout last Sunday in the headliner of “Fight of Champions” in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
It marked the first boxing event wherein Pacquiao was a fighter and promoter at the same time.
The newly-minted WBA champion, who turns 40 in December, already name-dropped his possible opponents like Amir Khan, Vasyl Lomachenko and Terence Crawford.
