Domingo leading the way for FEU in PVL

Far Eastern University’s post Bernadeth Pons era has started and the team is starting to stand on its feet without its former talisman.
In the Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference, the Lady Tamaraws seemed to have found a new first option in middle blocker Celine Domingo.
The third-year hitter has been carrying FEU’s scoring load in the offseason tournament and she’s slowly becoming the team’s most potent scorer with outside hitter Toni Rose Basas sidelined with an injury.
Domingo put up 18 points in FEU’s five-set win over University of Perpetual Help, 25-15, 15-25, 22-25, 25-14, 15-6, and that production put her total at 70 points in the league’s scoring table.
“I’m just doing my part and whatever the team needs me to do I will do it,” said Domingo in Filipino Sunday at Filoil Flying V Centre. “I will do anything to contribute and help the team improve and win.”
Domingo led the Lady Tamaraws to a 4-1 record and they sit at the third spot of the standings behind University of Santo Tomas, 5-0, and Adamson University, 4-0.
Only Eli Soyud, of the Lady Falcons, has more total points than Domingo with 79.
“I’m just thinking that every game I should do my part and contribute to the team because everyone of us should chip in to help the team win,” said Domingo, who had the game-sealing block against the Lady Altas.
“That’s the only thing on my mind, I’m not only thinking about myself and instead we’re all thinking about each other.”
