UST, Adamson battle for top spot; UP takes on FEU

Four teams see action on Saturday in matches that could ultimately shape the semifinal cast of the Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference.

University of Santo Tomas and Adamson clash for the top seed even as University of the Philippines eyes at least a playoff for the last semifinal slot when it tackles Far Eastern University.

Women’s matches begin at 2 p.m. at Filoil Flying V Centre.

The Tigresses and the Lady Falcons will not only battle for the No. 1 spot but will also try to stretch their unbeaten runs.

Led by Eya Laure and a bunch of unyielding youngsters, the Tigresses test their ferocity against the steady Lady Falcons of coach Airess Padda, who is expecting more from her wards after their scrambling 25-22, 19-25, 25-23, 26-24 win over UP last Sunday.

“I don’t know how we managed to win; it frustrated me because I felt that we were not hitting back,” said Padda after the UP match.
