Asian Games: Patrombon cruises into next round in men’s singles tennis

Filipino Jeson Patrombon got the Philippine tennis team’s campaign going with a dominating win over Nazario Gusmao of Timor Leste, 6-1, 6-0, Sunday in the 2018 Asian Games at JSC Tennis Court in Palembang, Indonesia.

The 25-year-old Patrombon booked a spot in the round-of-32.

Patrombon will also compete in the men’s doubles event with Francis Alcantara against Qatar’s Jabor Almutawa and Mubarak Zayid later in the day.
