WATCH: Highlights of the 2018 Asian Games opening ceremony

Clad in Barong Tagalog, Filipino athletes, led by basketball star Jordan Clarkson, paraded in front of thousands of spectators in the opening ceremony of the 2018 Asian Games Saturday night in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Clarkson, the Cleveland Cavaliers guard in the NBA, carried the country’s flag in the spectacle that saw the two Koreas walk as one.

Indonesian President Joko Widodo also shared the limelight after riding a motorcycle.

The Philippines is looking to improve its 2014 Asian Games performance in Incheon, South Korea where it won just one gold medal.
