Bayron top PH Myanmar Open survivor

RANGOON— Jay Bayron boosted his confidence going into this week’s ICTSI-Philippine Open by finishing as the best among three Filipino survivors in the Zaykabar Myanmar Open.
Bayron, the PH Open runner-up last year, closed with a second straight 71 to wind up in a four-way tie for 41st place with a 6-under 282 total. He had earlier rounds of 70-70-71.
He finished a stroke ahead of Angelo Que (70-71-71-71) and Mars Pucay (68-73-72-70), who joined another tie for 45th place at 283.
